Duration: 3 hours
On December 20 2023, the Ecell and FIC Department of UPG College collaborated for a bang on event “Corporate Monopoly” to understand the working of life as well as business decisions. The event had a great value addition for all those who participated as teams of 3, had to overcome obstacles and take clever decisions to reach the finish line. The taggers who were assigned to every team had to take responsibility for their team’s well discretion and were accountable for calculating the end valuation of their team. The event consisted of two rounds:
Round 1:
A team of 3 members were created along with a tagger and first was an online quiz
Round wherein a link was sent and questions related to current events and general knowledge were asked which each group had to answer within 10 mins and submit, whoever got the most answers right would go ahead to participate in the next round. To view the questions click here. 10 teams got selected for the next round.
Round 2:
A walking monopoly board was designed by the event organizers, which had different situations like Buy the stocks of TATA or Doms, Take fire insurance, Propose a startup idea based on a topic given, Bidding etc. Click here to see a little snippet of the board. There were many options and one member of the team had to come ahead, a digital dice was rolled and the member had to move ahead accordingly and had to perform the task given on that stop. Everyone had to think wisely before making a decision as it would determine whether they would win or not. Just like that, after completing a whole circle, getting important insights, seeing everyone's skills, whichever team had the most valuation in the end won the game of Corporate Monopoly.
The event was exceptionally thought about and executed very thoughtfully. Everyone had a lot of fun and the winners were awarded with candles and desserts which were finely made. Overall it was an evening to remember.
